So Steve said he would put the rosters up 5 weeks ago when we started this endeavor - but better late than never. It also should be noted that Steve is the one writing this post, so he is speaking in the 3rd person. Finally, it should be very clear to everyone that it is indeed July 4th, so not only is he doing this instead of hanging out with his in-laws, but he is giving this country quite a gift on their 242nd birthday. You're welcome.
As a reminder - the impetus here is, if the NHL can have an expansion team make the Stanley Cup (then subsequently lose and cost Steve $100), then why not do the same with the NFL? So, while Roger Goddell didn't ask, we took it upon ourselves to create a new franchise. It will be located in middle America (Iowa, Nebraska, maybe a Dakota...who knows) and will basically have, as discussed on the pod, an old-school stadium, brick facade, surrounded by corn fields, which is optimal for tailgating. And those big mid-western boys (and girls) like their tailgating.
Cody and Steve (there it is, the 3rd person again) went through every NFL team roster and choose which players each team should keep. It was, admittedly, based on 2017 Madden rankings and as many roster moves as we could accurately reflect since then. So, if we got something wrong, well, we don't care. In fact, Steve tried to fix some of the mistakes on his own. So, there is that as well.
Each team could keep a QB+5 other players OR 8 players total. We were successful at picking that many for every team except the Cardinals, who really suck apparently. We excluded all players drafted in 2018, which is why every player the Giants kept isn't just Saquon Barkley.
